For those with a sweet tooth, bringing a dozen donuts to an enterprise digital transformation meeting is no longer enough. As a nation, we may be eating more donuts per capita, but the real reason there is no longer enough to go around is that there are more stakeholders needed in these business meetings than ever before.
We recently held an initial meeting with a financial organization, to help them transform their approach to data management in the hybrid cloud. Only two or three years ago, it would have been a meeting where a box of a dozen sugary pastries would have sufficed. But as an example of how complex this type of decision making is now becoming, there were 26 people from our client company in the room, from six different internal groups.
