What skills do you need? These positions require someone with very strong Java development expertise. The majority of the platform development will be developed in Java amongst other languages like Python, C, C++.
You’ll also need strong client facing and consultative experience. The ability to act as an advocate for Big Data Engineering to their clients and act as a technical specialist will be required.
Most of all, a passion to work in the Big Data landscape and desire to continue to increase your own skill set. My client wants to drive the abilities of their employees utilising their own Big Data academy for example.
